About

I'm Sebastian Kouba. TokenSchmiede is where I build useful applications with AI.

Why I started TokenSchmiede

I left my job because I wanted to work closer to the frontier of AI.

The technology was moving quickly, and I felt that established companies would struggle to adopt it at the same pace. Existing processes, priorities, and structures make change difficult. I wanted to find out what I could build when working with these tools was the starting point.

So I started building. My aim is to turn what AI makes possible into applications that are useful in everyday work. That means spending time on the details: how a tool fits into someone’s workflow, where it gets in the way, and whether it actually helps.

I’ve now founded a company to pursue that work. TokenSchmiede is its public home, and fape is my first product.

What I’m building

fape is a dictation app. It lets you speak naturally and put the resulting text into the application you’re already using. It grew out of wanting a better way to work with words, without constantly switching between speaking, typing, and moving text around.

I’m building it step by step and learning from using it. The goal is a tool worth reaching for every day.

What you’ll find here

The blog is where I share notes from that process: tools, experiments, problems, and the decisions that made something work. I want to show the actual work behind the applications as they develop.

If you’d like to talk about fape, share an idea, or get in touch about TokenSchmiede, send me a message.
